Peace and Quiet....for now..

Why don't I just blog... while the satellite is out (storm just quickly passed though); hubby is snoring in his chair-- well breathing deeply... and the boys are both still napping-- Jake woke up for a bit when a guy down the road felt he needed to rev his engine a few dozen times... really we get it...

Well what have we been up to the last month... We have been feverishly getting the house ready for sale- well for people to come and look at it now-- We had a showing scheduled for yesterday but apparently forgot to check the storm door of the front door to be sure it wasn't locked so the agent could get at the lock box. Yup the door was locked- while we were cleaning in the am- I had locked it because Jackson can now "let himself out". So we lock it and clearly I didn't undo it when I shut the door before we ran out of the house. It was strange that when I came home I walked in and had a weird feeling/thought that no one came- whether they didn't show up or-- the door was locked and they couldn't get in.. needless to say apparently they found a different house :( Oh well on to the next... should be having some open houses coming up so fingers crossed for more lookers!!

Baby Rylee joined the family- she is adjusting well to the Brinkman house-- so far ;) She is TINY! Came out over 6#'s...not like my 8#ers! it is amazing what a difference 2#'s is!!

Updates on the boys---
Jackson got his first "real" haircut last weekend- it is still on the longer side but cut :) He did a great job!
He is a talking maniac... and a PARROT! he is starting to repeat words and phrases that he really shouldn't be! We really need to watch it!-- he has had a run of -shut- up (which comes out- shhuu eup) and darn/damn it...
He is becoming such a lil man it is crazy! he can be quite helpful.. when he wants to be!

Jacob-- he is a cruising machine-- he know has the one legged crawl- with the leg up for that extra giddy up-- he is standing for a bit and walking along anything and everything. he is also daring and letting go and lunging for the next object- won't be long now!!!
He just turned 10 months old yesterday!

They are finally starting to play with each other-- it is quite cute :)

So little time...

Man life is quite busy... 2 lil boys sure do keep you running!! And then on top of it we decided that we are going to sell our house and up grade! We have been working super hard on getting our house ready for the market as soon as we can! We found a great house down the road-- we are going to look at a few more soon- so many decisions!! Had a really hard time trying to figure out what, when and where... I was definitly stressing for a bit when we decided.. but things seem to be a little better right now...

The boys... Jackson is a talking machine!!! He is a PARROT! we have gotten lucky that he hasn't picked up swear words yet! He is also a little terror at times-- will look right in your face and do the opposite of what you just asked him to do!!! He is growing like crazy still! he is over 30#'s now! growing into his 3 T clothes quite nicely.
Jacob-- what a lil munckin! he is crawling up a storm- he is pulling up and standing-- he is starting to let go and lunge for whatever is in front of him! He is also a beast-- shocker!! he is 21#!!! I am almost certain that he is close to 30 inches! which means that we really need to get him out of his infant seat-- which I am not opposed to! with him weighing in at 21 and the seat is 10-- that is carrying around 30#!!

December~

Well it's been over a month- but it feels like forever ago since I was last here...

Feels like I am in the never ending cycle or wake up, run out of the house, drive, work, drive, cook, sit, cuddle for a bit and then sleep again.. it's like wash rinse repeat :( but sooner or later it will stop and then I will wonder what the hell to do...
Jake turns 6 month's old tomorrow and in 3 days Jackson is 2!

It is amazing... I am reminded almost every day how fast they are growing when a new baby comes in to the clinic and I see how tiny they are.. but cool to watch them grow!

We are slowly getting ready for the holidays... we actually got a tree this year-- last year it really didn't feel like christmas here.. I think it will be our last real one for awhile-- it smells yummy-- but I can't tell ya how many times we forget to water the dang things-- and then to spend $50 on a freaking tree is a bit much-- so we will be partaking in the artifical christmas tree sales after the holidays :)
We again are going to stick to the list/plan like we did last year while we were in the savings challenge... planning on a mall day on Friday-- family/boy pictures, santa and shopping- oh and to round out the day we will end the day at the doctors for there check ups.

As far as milestones go-- Jake is starting to sit on his own for a bit, we are eating cereal and jar foods; 2 bottom teeth are just coming in; our first urgent care visit a few weeks ago for an ear infection-- just an all around happy content lil man!!
Jackson-- he is a talking machine!! we are still having some melt downs-- unsure if it is related to being almost 2, the fact that he has 3 molars coming in or he is sick too (didn't take him in when we did Jake)
he is getting so big! he is such a big help-- well he tries to be and wants to!
