SOOOO happy!!!

I just on the off chance this am looked up my health insurance claims-- I knew that the Specialists should be showing up and wanted to know the damages ahead of time.... well.............
I DON'T OWE ANYTHING!!!! Insurance covered the whole visit! $302!!! SWEET!!! but now we shall see what happens.....I am pretty 100% positive that won't cover the clomid when I start it... but they should cover the first med because its related to a "medical" condition.... time will tell!!
I have to say I can't wait till Jan 8th!

We had lots of fun and a full house yesterday- lots of laughs and good eats!! I was at work today till just a little bit ago-- lots of good eats again!!! Back again tomorrow!

Santa brought me- a "Roman Ritual" package from salon (1 hour massage, facial, mani & pedi! woohoo!) a Jawbone (bluetooth device)-- trying to get that to work! and various other little things :)

All the presents are wrapped, 1/2 the house is clean and ready for company and I have a full belly. Life is good ;) until now... when I am sitting down to pay bills.... :(

We have a plan!

Went to the specialist last week... meet a realllly awesome PA! She sat with me for almost an hour! We talked short term and then of course long term.. Met Dr L. but I am realllly hoping that I won't have to see him again. (just because we won't need his services). They all sang praises that I came in with an ovulation issue--they are used to seeing the 49 yo who wants a baby and of course has already started menopause ;)

so here we go!!!

1. Semen analysis--- the poor little suckers never knew what hit em ;) dropped off yesterday.
2. Have to continue my prenatal vitamins (yeah I rebelled for a bit), and temperature charting.
3. On Day 35 (Jan 9th) of this cycle- need to go in for a preg test (unless I spontaneously start my period on time!)- and then two options depending on
a. + test-- we do nothing further and it will be a Christmas miracle(!)
b. - test -- start a med to start my period (which will probably be more like it..) (no I am not being negative-- still VERY hopeful that it won't come to this... but this has NOT been my cycling pattern ;)
4. So I get my new period on Day 3- I head into the md's for a "cycle review". Where she will do an ultrasound for anatomy checks and looking for cysts that will prevent us from moving on to the next step.
5. Start Clomid if there are no cysts.

That's all I got for now.... It seems to me a good step 1 :) Nick is happy and I am happy.. that is all that matters right?!

We got 2 Christmas' done already this past weekend/yesterday!
Went up to Sayner (Eagle River area) to see Candy and Stan (step-mom and her hubby). I love it up there- they had about 5" of left over snow... We brought Gracie she had a great time trying to get Casey (large Goldendoodle!) to play with her! There was about 4" of snow on the car when we woke up Sunday morning! Head home earlier than we wanted--but it was safer ;) Got me some mammoth croc's-- LOVE em!! And Mad Gab the game-- its hilarious!!! ;)
Christmas at the in-laws last night- dad got a new flat screen- so it was cool watching the Dark Knight ;) The couch is happy-- new pillows and throw!! :) Nick got his new tree stand-- he's a happy dude too!
Off again today-- but have a cleaning list that needs to be started before the Eve when the rest of the fam heads to our house! And hopefully Nick's co-worker will head of tonight and look at our dryer electric so we can get a new one soon!

Survived!... and Tagged!!

So I will start with my drive into work.... I left my house at 0510-- got to work by 0655- It wasn't horrible until I got to Lake Mills ish area and there was a line of cars/trucks in 1 lane about 40 deep-- going no more than 35 mph at a time... but of course there is another lane you say-- if only it was plowed..... huh.. I saw 2 plows on 94 East about 20 min apart shortly after lake mills... you would think they would have known about this little storm!!
But anywho-- I survived-- everyone made it to work-- so the boss lady bought us lunch-- Qdoba-- YUM!

Got a lot accomplished today!!

oil change!! my washer fluid worked for a little while (its warmed up a touch so it could rain and then freeze again!)

took some returns back to Kohl's-- and ended up getting 3 baby outfits for free!! YUP! They had the Kohl's cash thing going on during Black Friday (spend $50 earn $10) well I had $50 earned took back items went down to $30-- BUT they expired on the 6th-- i took a chance and gave the check out lady my little cash paper and she said she would see if it still would work... (I totally forgot about it until I went in my wallet and the little cash paper was there) and it WORKED!! woot woot! so cool!

met dad for lunch at Perkin's, went to Petco and got dog food and cat torturing devices-- see pictures below ;)

and now I will hunker down and read-- I am not sure if we will brace the weather when Nick comes home to go and get out tree-- or we can continue to wait till the neighbor brings it home.... (He works at a tree farm ;)

We are supposed to get up to 3 inches of snow tonight... then from Monday til Tues-- we are supposed to get 6-12!! WHAT!!?!?! and of course I will be driving to work bright and early tues morning.... someone remind me that I will have to get up at 0300!! (well more like 0430 probably!)

Oh well it is WI right?!
I HAVE to get my oil changed tomorrow and get my washer fluid stuff working-- or I will be one unhappy girl!!
other than that nothing too exciting! go me! at work doing a whole lot of nothing..... but this is the last day of that- my superusing days are over :( (helping out other RN's figure out the new computer order entry system).

Yesterday I demolished the computer room took me alllllll day to put it back together! 3 garbages full of crap I threw out!! I picked the perfect day to do it-- we got 3 inches of snow! I never got out of my jammies-- what was the point... so i told myself that today i was going shower, and get dressed!

Hubby was awesome and gave me my St Nick's present early :) the 4th and final book of the Twilight series! YEAH!! so I am going to cuddle up in the chair with a thick book!

oh yeah-- anyone following the TTC journey.... I am hoping that today (cycle 2 day 69) will turn into (cycle 3 day 1) I have been spotting lightly for the last 2 days... so keep your fingers crossed that aunt flow makes a real visit today! I am also hoping that timeing of all this is helpful for the md next friday!

and this would be a complete post-- the dryer stopped tumbling! woohoo!! we were extremely lucky gettting an over 40 year old dryer to work for another 2 years!! We need someone to come out and look at the electric... I am NOT spending $300-400 on a new dryer for it to bust like the first 2 we had (heating elements went).

Ahhh Saturday!!!

Well let's back up :) Worked T-day-- not too bad ;) Geared up to get up at 0445 (!) to do some pre work shopping! Got to Kohl's by 0520 and got my first call from work-- I was the 3rd man on the totem pole- and they would probably be able to give 4 people off... of the two ahead of me-- 1 for sure was going to work.. the other could go either way... I told her that she should call me after she heard from them... I was still set on getting in and out of Kohl's and off to work... until I got in the store-- half way through my shopping and I see the check out line!!!! umm... maybe I wont make?! The the phone rings... its back to me... both are going into work-- so I cave and take the morning off! I really didn't think I would make it in time at that point... made my way through the rest of the store-- got in a shorter check out line by that time and was out of the store by 0640!


Made my way to the outlet mall... not too busy yet-- they opened at 1200 that morning so everyone was already there-- did a few more hours of mindless shopping and headed home by 1000 when everyone else started showing up! Here is a pic of the backseat-- it was a little full!!

Last night Nick surprised me and came home early from hunting (empty handed ;( but we went to our friends house and had family game night! we all brought some games but ended up playing 5 HOURS of CHARADES!!! it was hilarious!! it was girls vs guys-- so you know we won!

Sunday-- since I didn't post yesterdays-- oops! Today is miss Livi's baptism! We are getting ready to head out to one of our local establishments and have some breakfast with our neighbor and his girl- before she heads back to Seattle till Christmas... but we aren't moving really fast yet! That's it for now... hope everyone has a great day! It's gonna snow here tonight-- YUCK!

I hope that everyone had a very awesome thanksgiving!!!
Mine wasn't soo bad... got to look through all the shop ads at work... did a little work.. did a little shopping on-line-- planned out my day for tomorrow....am i crazy to get up earlier than a normal 0500 and go shopping on my way into work?!?! There is a Kohl's department store right off the free way and also an outlet mall.. but I don't think I will be brave or have enough time to hit the mall....now i must go check out the mall website-- just to make sure I won't miss anything that I just gotta have!

well back to work for a little bit longer... need to make $$ for the shopping!!

happy turkey day again!! I am soooo very thankful to my family and friends- love ya!!!

Ups and downs....

Lets start with the down's shall we.....

Went to the doctor on tues finally-- I now have an appointment with a Infertility Specialist- in Dec. So far my labs came back normal- so we shall see what he has to say. the other down- insurance doesn't cover any of it... so Nick and I said that we will keep the appointment hear what they have to say- most likely will do a ovulation drug trial and then have to figure out plan c if that doesn't work.... but I think it will ;)

on to the UP!

We are going to our first midnight movie!! Twilight is being shown here at midnight tonight-- sooooo excited- printed out our tickets already!! Nick doesn't have to work in the am-- so its perfect-- I reallllly didn't want to go alone ;)

That's about it! I am off today--- its been snowing (flurries) on and off this am... so i think i am going to go park myself on my couch and snuggle up with my book and dogs! well maybe after some breakfast :)

Twilight

So who else has been biten?? I have already sunk my teeth into 200 pages (in one day!) I stole the book from my niece this weekend (I really didn't she was rereading it while reading the 4th book!) Well I am hooked! I even can't wait for the movie to come out this weekend!!

On to other things....Our day trip up to grams this weekend was good-- the boys went out to scope the hunting land- the girls went into town to the public market- got cornered by some old bumbler... it was a touch scary I knew I could take him though!! Didn't buy anything-- I was reallly eyeing some Amish baskets- but couldn't decide on what ones.... Then we walked the street a little and came to a country store- that was AMAZING! It is a 3 story building-- every inch was stuffed with stuff! They probably had over 30 full set dining tables SET! all different- so awesome! and of course $$$$!!

Now home-- I am on vacation today and tomorrow-- cleaning out the spare bedroom and crawl space--- my Partylite boxes have over runneth! and I am not sure how far I will get these 2 days but the comouter room is next!! I really have to do some listing of wedding items!They have been sitting in a box for over a year now!! And then of course clean the rest of the house!
So i will be holed up for awhile!

It's a dreary, rainy, chillly day here- a good one to snuggle up on the couch with the dogs.... they are actually doing the snuggling while I am on the puter... I have a babyshower today for a girl at my old hospital-- I suppose I needed to get out of my jammies sometime today!! No work yesterday or today-- YEAH!! But back at it tomorrow and friday! Going to head up to my grandma's in the La Crosse area this weekend to see her since I am working Thanksgiving when everyone else will be up there... may be next year we can make it up there!
Have some vacation time coming up next week-- going to work on the crawl space in the spare bedroom and the spare bedroom--- it over run with partylite boxes at the moment... then on to the computer room! It's a mess!

Veteran's Day!

A HUGE thank you for all that you have done for us! And another HUGE thank you for all the soldiers that are still fighting today and I hope we get you home SOON!!!!

I am off today-- not for Veteran's day ;) Worked my butt off yesterday-- working with this new part of our computer system has given me a headache now!!! The RN's and doc's are doing the best they can.... its the freaking system I want to through out the window!!! I have NO idea how they picked this system! It can't do half the things we want it to do!! um hello-- was there evera focus group on what actually goes on during a nurses day/ docs day?! i think not..... ok I will move away from this topic-- as it gets me a little fired up and today is not a work day so I don't wanna!

....The Bus....

Finally got the pictures off my camera.... here are a select few of the many I took last weekend. We went up to Mountain WI-- it was beautiful! The weather could have been better... but we made it work! Gracie had a BLAST- running EVERYWHERE!! Some of you have heard me talking about "the bus"- yes that is what we "lived" in for the weekend. It is a hunting shack and I had to keep telling myself this..... This land used to be a runway... but now its hunting land with lots of cabins, trailers, and a bus camp out year round. The bus luckily has electricity, they have a pump for water and an outhouse. What a lovely outhouse it was!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEE!!!

I am at work today-- only an 8 so that's not too bad... Since we are leaving to go up north on thursday I had to squeeze in my days this week... I don't think anything too exciting tonight.. Nick has darts at 730- and so does Joal-- so family night won't be till Sunday.

I love my birthday days!!! It's kinda hard to believe that I am 29! Where has the time gone?!?!?

On to other thoughts-- beside me-- My brothers dad has been in the hospital for more than a week now- went in for a "routine" artery clean out- ended up having a stroke and has been- until today on a ventilator to help him breath and in a medically induced coma- word is that he is now breathing on his own for a large junk of time (VERY AWESOME to hear!) but he is still sedated and gets pretty agitated with the weaning of the medicine. So if you can say some prayers for him and the family- Carole his wife really hasn't left his side! We would greatly apperciate it!!

Also- during my blog stalking the other night... I came across 2 very different but very similar blogs-- one about a man raising his new daughter alone- as mom died the next day after her birth- and the other about a family losing there twin boys at birth (preemies). I am not sure why I clicked to their links out of all the one's I could have- but they have definitly changed my outlook on life and even pregnancy! Put me in a little bit of a funk right after-- I can only imagine what they are going through! I really hope that I will never have to live it... I pray for them everynight I have both of there blogs in my list....

Happy Sweetest Day!

Yeah so it's been awhile.....i actually have the day off... but it came with a price!! I was scheduled a 12 hour shift yesterday- which turned into a 16-it was actually pretty busy so I hardly noticed!!!So because I worked till 11pm there was no way I would be able to get home by 0100 and turn around and be back there by 0700!
Nick had to get up at 0500 to meet his dad there are heading up to the "cabin" to prepare it for our (the in-laws and us) arrival on thursday. They are putting in a new heater--- I like heat!
So I am home with beasts today- already vacuumed, wash part of the bathroom floor- If this cat does NOT stop PISSING in the bathroom I will have to seriously think about returning him to the farm where we got him!!

Nick and I had 2 date nights this week- one for sweetest day (since he is gone) and my b-day since it on a tuesday this year.
Wed- we headed out to dinner- and a movie-- we made it to dinner before heading home exhausted!
Thurs- he took off and took me to the muesum and we saw the Titanic exhibit and the IMAX movie-- both really cool!

I think the washer stopped now... I can get in the shower-- have to head to the bank before it closes!

She's here!!! My friend Sarah had her baby at 0327 this am! after going in at 0700 yesterday! YIKES!! Mom and baby are doing well now... it was scary for a little bit!! She is cute as a bug... her poor head will be sore for a little while! darn vaccuums!!!

anyway spent a good chunk of the morning at the hospital- held her a lot- watched part of her first bath :) Will head back later tonight after dinner with my dad.

Sarah- I know you will read this sooner or later ;) You are a great friend and i am still over the moon excited for you... my day will come i promise you-- stop worrying about me right now ;)

What a weekend for WI sports!!! Nick and I (and 2 other friends) went to the Brewer game- nothing like a winter jacket, and a hot dog grilled out tailgate style ;) It hadn't started raining yet... but the wind picked up. We had a great time at the game- it was LOUD!!! Too bad we lost

Now we are sitting at home- I am in my robe and slippers-- the house is 59* -brr! The heat is still not one- we still have 2 window a/c units in!!! I have a few candles burning for warmth and smell ;)

BRRR!

Well I think fall is officially here!!! It has been chilly during the day- with awesome sunshine though-- and we had FROST last night! I have slept in my robe the last 2 nights- I think I am in denial and don't want to get out the BIG blankets! I am going to make some potato soup (wish me luck) today and some apple recipes!! Then tonight we are going to a comedy club not till 10! I might have to take a nap!!
I worked a pm last night- didn't get home till 1245- watched tv till almost 0200 then of course the alarm went off at 0500 to take my temp- let the dogs out and crated them- then it was 0745- the doggie alarm went off- managed to block it out off and on till almost 0900... and now here sit- all bundled up! Hmmm I should go make some hot tea and breakfast!! mmmm! I bought some new teas when I was in Boston- its made with real fruits-it better be good it wasn't cheap!!!

I have a new washer. I LOVE my new washer! I have been washing since 0800!! It is an amazing piece of work!! now the dryer on the other hand... is a piece alright- but still running... so i have to give it props-its OLD! It is the 3rd dryer we have had since we moved in 2 years ago. (I think we have an electric prob).

*I have LOADS of laundry done- not folded will do that tonight with the mr.

*my kitchen floor is SCRUBBED- i have prune hands to prove it!

*the coat closet was scrubbed-- it still stinks though- DAMN CAT!! (hence a lot of laundry!)

*the carpet in living room and dining room vaccuumed! the 3 old dog spots have been cleaned with a little help from the green machine!

*bathroom- floor, sink, tub and toliet! I reallllly hate that room!

huh.. productive!

I have actually gotten some things accompished today?! I cleaned off the dryer-YUCK!- so the neighbor can figure out why the washer is leaking!! i vaccuumed! I cleaned off the computer desk!!! (but now i have random piles sitting on the floor of papers/magazines and odds n ends stuff i don't know where to go with!)

i am going to pay some bills, go to the post office, shower, eat lunch and head to work!

huh... who would have thunk it! granted there is still a list a mile long of things that still need to be done!

but i am going to relish in my small accomplishments for the day now :)

Tired!

I am not sure what got into me last night to work a double?! (scheduled from 0700-1900, but worked till 11:30 pm) got home at about 0100! then was chatting on the phone with a friend until almost 0200! By 0730 the dogs were barking- let then out and went back to bed until 1100! still not enough sleep! My head is a littl foggy! It's a BEAUTIFUL day out a little warm.... I really should do some yardwork... but i think i am just going to take the "kids" to the dog park for awhile... they were locked up for a long time (THANK my lucky stars that we have an awesome neighbor who came over and let them out and fed them !)

The two cats are lounge on the computer desk.... oh the life they lead... damn it that reminds me i have to CLEAN out there boxes- damn it-- the one bad thing about cats... we should have taught them how to go on the toliet!! The other 2 beasts have stopped pestering me... that means either a. they are up to no good and i can hear them... or b. they actually are laying down?!

oh NOPE there back in the puter room-bugging me!

Monday's

At least I am off! Granted I did work all weekend!!! I got home last night and Nick was exhauseted so we ended up going to bed by 9:30!! well I was up at 12 having to go to the bathroom REAL bad- I swore it was closer to morning!!! Then up at 0500 for temperature check then at 0600 with Nick when he left for work.. then at 0700 when the dog started barking! Shessh!

I broke my phone yesterday... well the ground did- I dropped it when I got out of the car and it landed on its antenna which intern doesn't work anymore.. I have 2 weeks of my contract left... I planned on switching services (Nick has US Cell- and there family plan is cheap.) So as soon as the Charter guy comes to pick up the cable box(sometime between now and never) I can head out... but for now its LAUNDRY time! woohooo party time!

Now to the less pleasant part of my posting this am...
My "imaginary" friends need your prayers! The Fox family in Washington- especially little miss Hadley. She is dieing of brain tumors. She had her Make-A-Wish on Saturday- she was the best princess I have ever seen! Can you PLEASE send up some prayers for comfort, peace, and patience for momma Fox PLEASE! They need all the prayers they can get!

well... we met some friends out last night.. I told Nick before we left I have to pee on a stick... he did the dishes too - gotta love that-- and it was - still... sooo we shall see!!
Off to my moms for a little bit- she bought a puppy off craig's list- a weimer/wire haired mix of a thing! she is 6 weeks old!! can't wait to see her!!! Then off to the bank and the dentist!! fun fun fun!!

Thoughts...

Working yesterday was a little different... I knew what the day was and what had happend 7 years ago... I remember what I was doing and where I was heading... I can still hear the radio announcers playing in my head. I remember what songs other radio stations used later that day as a tribute with frantic voices of callers trying to figure it all out. Everytime I write the numbers 9/11 on a piece of paper I remember that it isn't just a date/day anymore- it has significance. I personally did not know anyone that died that day- but my heart breaks for them and for there family and friends that are reminded every year nationwide why and where they died. I can't imagine the guilt or the utter horror of the people that were supposed to be at work or on there where across country in a plane- and for whatever reason they weren't that day and have to remember that gut wretching feeling- it could have been me!
7 years ago there weren't moments of silence during your morning coffee or commute, but now there is and forever will be. 7 years ago there weren't questions of what is happening or what do we do now....
My father and I went out east and saw family out in New York about a year later i think- we made a trip down to Ground Zero- I will never forget that feeling- in the middle of a bustling city- there was an erie quiet, there was a smell and a fine layer of dust that went on for blocks. It was different. There were still large portions of the towers just sitting there- our flag was still hanging on the adjacent building- larger than ever. I will never forget the silence that was so deafing that I could feel it deep in my skin. That day we were there (my father, and 2 cousins and I) had a picture taken- I HATE that picture- its a great picture- but there are smiles on our faces - we weren't happy to be there- but we were smiling in such a place where soooo many now have come over the last 7 years and wept. Where trapped people screamed and cried to be set free. Those people are now free and 7 years later we remember them.

My brother is in the Army National Guard and was sent to Iraq over 3 years ago now- he remembers why he was there everyday.
Thank you for fighting for all of us. Thank you to everyone that has come and gone in the last 7 years that have fought for US. I continue to pray for all who need them during this time.

I love sunny sundays!

Sitting back in my computer chair- the sunny shining in my eyes through the window... hubby sitting in the living room watching a movie-- one cat sleeping soundly on the desk.. the other.. who knows- the dogs.. pacing non stop- one can settle and lay down the other not so much!
I am really hungry- I am sure that hubby is too.. but i have to check on the rest of the world first...see whatever one else is doing.. and what i should be doing...
yesterday i did manage to leave the confines of my house and pull a crap ton of weeds out of my "weed garden" but there are still a ton left to go... we went out to a comedy club last night with my brother and gf and her friends- it was fun! very funny dudes!
I think hubby and i are going to a movie today and who knows what... we shall see what the day brings!

as far as what is happening inside by body- i have no idea~ my computer chart decided to revamp it yesterday with my new temp- and now it says that it is unsure if i ovulated.... so i went to supposed to have AF yesterday to- the unknown- but then if i entered my temp from this am (took it again a few hours later when i really was getting up ;) it went back to telling me i ovulated but i wont get AF till the end of this week now... i am fighting the urge to POAS (pee on a stick) but i am sooo don't want to see a negative-- it is still early- but i feel NOTHING. not a pang, twing, ping or cramp. so.. i think i am back in limbo land- that is not a fun place to be.... I will be making a call to the doctor i am sure of within the next few weeks... Science is so facinating when its happening to other people.

Yeah!

WOOHOO-I just got my new passport today- I had to send my other one back because we got it -right- before we got married- and you have a year to change your name without having to pay again.. so i sent it in a few weeks ago-Not that i think we are ever going to need it again!! (We got them for our cruise last July- and of course we never got them in time!) oh well now i have it though-- just in case!

Well i had the day off today-- yeah! but i pretty much ended up spending darn near all my "extra" earned money at the vet! Frankie went in for his neutering-- poor thing is still "drunk"! but a few weeks ago he went in for his annual checkup and shots- we did preop blood work so it would cost so much the day of... well Briggs ended up hurting himself -somehow- 2 days ago and has been limping-- which hasn't slowed him down any either- but i brought him with when i picked up the cat- and we got a script for some anti-imflamation meds- and will try that for 2 weeks- its his shoulder apprently but it could be a number of things.. so hes been stuck in his crate to rest now..... so i spent about $500 in the last few weeks at the vets-- and i have to go to the petstore and get dog food tomorrow- which will be another $100! oh the joys of "parenthood"!

and on that note-- i am spotting so i am pretty sure we will be onto cycle #2 this week- and we will be very diligent now!
I went to a baby shower for a lady at work- she is due 10-22 i told her he has to come 1 day early (my b-day) and the rest of the group found about another coworker- shes about 7 weeks right now.. so i was the filling in a baby momma sandwich-- i need all the help i can get! i can't wait to see the picture! hahaha!

busy day of cleaning tomorrow- i am vowing rightnow that my house will be guest worthy at all times!! i was at 2 houses today that make me feel aweful about how my house looks! so i will have to devise a plan-- because i HATE house work!!!! and i hate doing it all on a day off!
best go find where the cat wandered off too!!

the last day of august...

well not uncommon for me to be working like a mad women.... Today is the last day of August.... its beautiful here.. well from what i would gather from the inside looking out... the sun is shining and the trees are green (thats about all i can see from where i am sitting...) Yes i am working hard right now.... this is one of the reasons i LIKE working the weekends... it slows down a bit-- some weekends not so much... this is day number 3 out of 4 for the end of this week... have to work a 12 tomorrow- today is just an 8- sooo sleepy! i stayed way to late last night talking to a co-worker that doesn't work as much here anymore.. so we were doing some catching up- at least we were saving cell minutes :)
hubby went to the montgomery gentry concert last night at the harley d fest in waukesha-- he said it was pretty cool... i again working... could have gotten home to go but having to work again at 0700 kinda puts a damper on the social life- just a touch though.

ho hum.. so sleepy....only have about 45 min left! YEAH!! alright i guess i will stop subjecting you to this babble.................................... for now.

AHHHH..... a DAY OFF!

And of course it got started with a phone call at 0615 from WORK! NO I don't wanna come in!- well I would have if the last 2 -12 hour days hadn't been so BUSY and CRAZY!! and besides I have plans today! I first have to make some delish Cheesy Buffalo dip, meet my dad for lunch, then head to waukesha for a baby shower/good luck party for 2 former co-workers, then come home and have a date with my couch and HUGE tv! ;) Even though the extra $$ would have been AWESOME- but todays pay day anyway- which reminds I have to pay more bills-- gag!

Well I have been debating in posting about this... but most of you readers that I know- know that Nick and I have been TRYING (sometimes more sometimes less! ;) ) to have a little human to add to our mix!
1st~Sarah- I wanna let you know that I am ABSOULETLY THRILLED for you and L and I can't wait to meet little Miss ~ whatever you decide to name her! Really soon! :)

I NEVER thought that I would have to TRY- I thought it would just happen when we were ready... Until this past year- I have never heard any family members tell me how hard or how long they tried.... the science behind it all makes sense... but I wanna know what my body's doing! This is CRAZY!

Well here is the back story of the last 10 months- In fast forward ;) by the way heres a warning if you don't want to know about my bodily functions-- Quit reading now ;)
Been on BCP since I was 17- stopped taking them Nov 2nd. The "real" AF (aunt flow) showed up in FEB. Then she showed up again AUG 8th. Yes there was NOTHING in between. I can't tell ya how many times I peed on a stick!! I went to the doctor AUG 11th (scheduled in July- and of course told them I have not had a period in quite sometime- and she shows up)
The Doc says- well we will wait and see.... Well I am officially done waiting and seeing- something isn't right... what it is I don't know.

So we are up to present day~I bought a BBT (basal themometer) and have been charting my temps for the last week or so- why I didn't start sooner I don't know- I think it was denial that this is taking so long. But now I am hoping that I will become REGULAR (you here that body get crackin') and we can time things a little better. I have some ovulation predictor sticks left from my trial in June that I have been using this week- I am currently on Cycle Day (CD) #20 and I don't believe that I have ovulated yet... but can't be certain. The stupid pee sticks showed a surge 2 days ago, a no yesterday and then a surge today...Well I guess the Mr and I will be getting busy.... I should get a visit from AF about the first week in Sept (accoriding to the chart)- and if nothing happens or no one shows up the Doc is getting a call and SOMETHING will be done!!!

well before I write more of a novel than I already have-- I need to get breakfast in this gut and get a move on with my day!

I have been trying to take the dogs at least once a week- the last month we have been REALLY lucky that it hasn't rained-- in the back section of the park there is a "mud pit" but it has been dry so no big deal... well now it has been forcasted for rain the last 2 days (with little results) and more this weekend... The dogs LOVE it- it's an off leash park so they have free reign- which they love and there is a decent walking path around the perimiter and then through the middle and such. They love meeting new friends and everyone is very nice! Since it hasn't rained yet today I might head out there after this! We shall see!

Weekend Shinanigins

Saturday we had our Volleyball tourney... during the "season" we placed last 5th out of 5 teams.... but Saturday was a different story! We played right away at 11 am came out on top of that match- then waited seriously almost 4 hours before we played again... then we won that match then we waited about 2 hours.... then we played and then lost our asses. The last game was 21-0... bummer-- But we took THIRD place all around!!! GO US!! It was a fun day, lots of fun, sun and drinks!

Sunday we went to the statefair with some friends. We of course ate our way through! Started with a delish wi grown potatoe with butter and sour cream, then of course some fried cheese curds, a few drinks thrown in, an italian beef sandwich, some more drinks, then Saz's delish sour cream chive fries, then for dessert- a Smore on a stick-- O.M.G! that was the best thing EVER!!

We did lots of walking- lots to see and hear.... my husband decided to also try out the ejection seat! (giant sphere looking thing with 2 seats- yes he talked one of his friends into doing it too) it is on 2 giant bungees that through you into the air.. spin you around and so one... He survived!
We saw a dog diving compition- it was pretty cool!! after all that were quite ready to go home by 08:30!

HELP! We are being tortured at the Witch Dungeon in Salem!

Well now that its August!

Well life has been busy for the Noeske's! We just spent 7 fabulous days in Boston with our friends Jaime and Jessie ~ Lots of fun, lots of walking, and of course lots of eating!
We flew out last Tuesday(22nd) went and had dinner and hung out at Jaime's apartment.
Wednesday -Nick, Jess and myself were on our own- poor Jaime still had to work~ so we took a drive out to Salem- of course got lost on our way out there... We had the BEST hot dogs we EVER had out there! Boston Hot dog Company-- they had it ALL- we upgraded to the 1/4# all beef dog-they had almost every combination of toppings you could imagine.. I played it a little safe and went with the New York City Dog=Sauerkraut, Grey Poupon, onions, sweet red pepper relish and celery salt... mmmm! I wanna another one!! Then we were off to see the sites-- we saw 3 Museums- Witch Dungeon, Pirates, and then another one on Witches... Lots of little shops around and things to see. We met back up with Jaime and headed to the movies- we saw the Dark Knight-- very cool movie!
Thursday~ We were on our own again... We went to the New England Aquarium-It was neat- they had a 3 story tank in the middle of the place that was filled with sharks, fish, rays and of course turtles! LOTS of pictures were taken that day!! Of course when we were done- it was POURING out! so we high tailed it to the T station (subway) as fast as we could! We ended up at Faneuil Hall Marketplace- which is a HUGE outdoor shopping, eating palooza! There was every kind of store imaginable-Crate and Barrel to clothing stores- and of course a replica CHEERS bar! So that's where we met Jaime after she was done... we spent a good while there-- I did a little souvenir shopping- LOTS of little shopping carts around with everything Boston too! We headed back to the apt. for a rousing game of Charade's! Yes we played and it was HILARIOUS!
Friday~We had our tour guide with us today! We hoped the T to the city! We walked around- made it to the Bull & Finch Pub (the original CHEERS!) had some cocktails! Walked through the Public Gardens park- which is HUGE! Went through Faneuil Hall and some some cool street performers, and then headed to FENWAY! The Yankees were in town so there was NO way we were going to get inside- so we did the next best thing- we went to a bar that is literally right under the stadium- they have 90 flat screens in the this little place- we sat and had dinner/snacks and drinks. Too bad the red soxs lost :( Then we headed down to a dueling piano bar-- that was cool- and VERY LOUD- lots of people in there too! We were there till about 12:30-1:00am too late for the T so we had to find a taxi-- we started walking up the street and there was a Bike taxi guy and said that he could take us to get a cab-- he called a buddy over and Nick and I got in 1 and Jess, Jaime and Ken(Jaime's guy friend) got in the other-- it was really funny- those guys EARNED every cent that night! It wasn't more than a mile or so before we found a van cab that could fit us... So we hope off the bikes and into a van-- we are on our way back to Jaime's when we get pulled over by the cops. Yes this was a first- never was pulled over in a cab before! Luckily it only cost us about a $1.50 in fare before the cop let us go (driver was speeding...)OOPS! so that made the night!!
Saturday~BEACH DAY!!! we headed to Rhode Island! It was about an hour and half ride-- not too bad! It was a gorgeous day! Not tooo hot with just enough breeze! Ken met us out there for some surfing lessons-- well mostly for Jessie! We went "swimming" and I use that term loosely.. it was more of wave jumping! That water is sooo salty! Headed out to dinner after and then the trip back to the apt.
Sunday~Back to the city we went! Well before we could get there we had to make a stop at the Braintree Fire Station! It was the coolest station we had seen- (Jessie's BF is a volunteer FF) so we took a few pictures outside and were talking with a few of the guys and they let us take some pictures on the ladder and engine trucks-- well and of course the pole too! Jessie got a t-shirt to take home for Johnny! ok... back to the city-this time we headed up to the north end we saw the
Old North Church- were the lanterns were hung- and Paul Revere saw the British coming.. It was a neat church- instead of pews- each "family" had there own box with a pew in it. We then hiked it to the USS Constitution- we went to the museum(there was a long line to get on the ship) where we learned a lot about what it was like on the ship and in a life of a sailor back then...Next stop was Bunker hill... holy shnikes I say! Its a HUGE tall tower that you can climb the 294 steps to the top of and look out to the city-- I NEVER thought that I was that out of shape! BUT we all made it to the top! I have some awesome pictures through the little windows up there! Our legs were on fire!! We walked enough to find a cab to take us back to Faneuil Hall were we finished up our shopping-in the rain again and then back to the apt.
Monday~ our last day in Boston- we hung around the apt and packed and then headed for the airport :( got back home around 4:30 and were exhausted. I had to go back to work on Tues- Nick had the day off...

Best day of work EVER!

So guess who dropped by the hospital?! CINDY CRAWFORD!!! how awesome is that!!! Apparently her brother was at the UW hosptial in 1975 was diagnosed at 4 years old with cancer and then died here... So she had a help in building our brand new hospital and takes time to come back and visit everyone! we got our picture taken too! I also snuck a camera phone picture of her I will post that-- I don't know if we will get the professional one... but it was COOL!!!

and he was SURPRISED!

Nick's 30th b-day celebration was this past Friday (his b-day was Monday)- Let me tell you if you have never planned a surprise party before-- prepare for EVERYTHING! He decided the day before to go and pick up our friends from the airport!!! He was SUPPOSED to go straight to a friends house after work.... but it all turned out great in the end! I brought in the Qdoba naked burrito bar- it was a HUGE hit- and DELISH! So a BIG thanks to all our friends who helped make this surprise a success!

Nothing too exciting this week- just the daily grind! Nick leaves for Texas tomorrow and will be back on Monday for work. And of course its my weekend off at the hospital- I picked up an extra shift on Sat so I will be making some great $$!

We hit a heat wave- of course that brings more storms.... luckily its been drying out so the waters have gone down some- but its hot and muggy!

This weekend

Nick and I had a busy weekend.. he worked friday and then we had a rehearsal dinner for our friends -nick was helping grill and i was the gopher :) we had a great night out with friends! Jaime was home from Boston for the wedding so we meet up with her later that night...

Saturday woke up to a BEAUTIFUL day for a wedding! It was an outdoor wedding in her parents back yard! It was gorgeous! The rain/storms held off until they got a some outdoor pictures done... then it was off to party town!

It is pretty obvious to most- I usually don't travel without my camera... I LOOOVE pictures! Well its hard to take pictures of yourself while you are doing something.. so my loving husband was in charge of the camera later in the night... and as I found out... he got 1 shot of me in the water... yes the water.... The new couple decided that they would make a big splash into there new life in the hotel pool before bed!

She thought her dress was heavy before! Well of course they had to have friends join them... so a bunch dove right in.... but not the Noeske's... NO way i said.. while secretly really wanting to jump in!

well it only took about 10 more minutes... after the bride and groom left that our friend Johnny got pushed in... then I told Nick he could go... well I didn't really have a choice.. it was give up the camera your going in! Our neighbor Chuck picked me right up and in we went!! It was quite refreshing!! We were in there for almost an hour! There was a "log" in there so of course we had to try and get on that... old fashion chicken fights--- the score-- 1-1 Jaime vs Me... but of course.. there is not MY victory caught on camera... but Jaime's.. Jaime and I jumped in together I thing it was about a total of 5 times... guess how many were caught on film.. 0! I don't know how 1 person can have 5 tries to take a picture.. but there was no pictures :( oh well.. like Jaime said... the pictures are in our minds... we had a blast... i was exhausted and went to bed!

Well that about sums it up... Today we have done a whole lot of nothing so far...

We wish our Father's and all the other fathers out there a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! (which I just remembered I never sent the cards!!)

and also we wish nothing but the best for our dear friends Katie and Mark! Have fun in Florida!!

WEATHER!

Seriously... can we have summer yet!! We had our 2nd tornado warning in since last saturday! Of course I was at work and at 3:05 they called the warning-- we have to get all the patients and family in the hall and shut all blinds and doors... well of course it is shift change too--so luckily we had a few extra hands around.. I din't leave until after 4- had to go out to my CSA (community supported agriculture) farm and pick up our box of produce for the week.. Listened to the am radio station all the way out there- amazing lightning bolts! Jus tsome rain nothing major at this point. Got home about 5:45- rainy and dark out :( got in and watched the weather website- the tornado siren ended up going off 3 times in about 1 hour... there was a tornado spotted about 20 miles from the house-- I94 and hwy 89 (lake mills) That was the way i went home just hours before! luckily the storm lost steam and by 7:30 we are just under flood warnings- the Rock river is just inches from the highway- they had it closed off the other morning- and its closed today too- had to take the detour to work yesterday- I don't have to go back till monday- so HOPEFULLY we will dry out some... I seriously doubt it!

We have a wedding tomorrow-- OUTSIDE- I sure hope she has a plan B- rehearsal dinner tomorrow night- we are going to help them cook out too!
well i think that sums up my feelings on the weather today!!
